Raleigh, NC
This 15,000 square foot former depot building is located on a two-acre
site in downtown Raleigh. It is now ready for mixed-use occupancy,
including office and retail. The Depot was the winner of the 2003
Real Estate Deals of the Year (REDY) Award for Best Redevelopment
Project in the Triangle area.
New Bern, NC
Once one of the busiest passenger stations in eastern North Carolina,
this former depot is now under long-term lease to the City of New
Bern for restoration and use for institutional and community service
needs.
High Point, NC
This passenger station was constructed in 1907 and has been restored
by the City of High Point through cooperative efforts by NCRR and
NSR. It's distinctive design makes it a downtown landmark and it
is once again serving as an active passenger station.
Burlington, NC
The last remaining building of the NCRR Company Shops, this 18,000
square foot building was formerly an engine house. It has been redeveloped
by NCRR and is serving as the city's passenger station; it is home
to offices for a division of the City of Burlington's police department
and it will be the location of NCRR's first company exhibit hall
for railroad-related displays. A portion of the building remains
available for lease for offices or retail. Company Shops Station,
as the building is known, was the winner of the Department of Commerce's
2003 Mainstreet Award for Best Adaptive Use Project.
